Breed: Donkey
Height: approx 12hh (will measure)
Age: Young
Gender: Jenny
Colour: Brownish Grey
Health: 100% Blind, Underweight, Full of Lice, But Appears Healthy Otherwise
Lameness: Her Feet are in Horrible Neglected Condition, We Are Having Them Trimmed This Week. We Will Let You Know How it Goes. UPDATE: Unfortunately the trimming didn't go so well, we tried twice with no success, so we will sedate her and get it done, and if we work with her feet daily she should be good at picking them up before her next trim is due!
Vices: None
Personality: Very Very Sweet. Loves Attention. She is learning to lead. She will need some work with picking up her feet.
History/Training: Unknown, She Was Slaughter Bound at an Auction, Sadly her best friend found a home but they did not want Vision
Future/Suitability: Companion/Pet. She Would be Best Suited to a Home with a Safe Paddock, where she can familiarize herself with where the shelter is, and where the hay and water is, etc. She would get lost if you threw her out in a large field. We currently have her in a paddock about 1/2 acre in size, which suits her well and she finds her way around ok, anything up to about an acre would be ok I think, I am sure she would also appreciate a Gentle Donkey for a Friend, or perhaps a gentle goat or pony?
Additional Info: We have deloused her twice and dewormed her twice, but if you adopt her you should keep her separate for a while to insure there is no more lice
Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: $500. Pre-Summer Sale - If You Adopt Vision (Upon Approval of Application), Pay for Her in Full and Take Her Home On/Before May 25, 2008 - We Will Reduce Her Adoption Fee Down to $200 !!
