Personality: Friendly. Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Tie, Trim, Trailer, etc. Currently turned out with a herd of geldings (horses, ponies & donkeys).
History/Training: Purchased from an Auction, Halter Broke, We have saddled and bridled him a few times and will begin to start his training under saddle this month, but only lightly and mainly at a walk as he is still young!
Future/Suitability: With Age & Training He Should be Suitable for Pretty Much Anything .... Riding or Driving, Show or Pleasure, English or Western - He has a very cute trot & canter, and looks very comfy!
Additional Info: Tom was sold through the auction as a gelding, we believed he was a gelding until recently he started acting a little playful, nipping and such, he acted alot like a young colt, so we checked and sure enough he had dropped a testicle, which he did not have before. We had the vet out on June 4th to confirm and sure enough he had one testicle down but not the other. We will need to raise the money to get him gelded at millbrook as he is now classified as a chryptorchid, and our usual vet does not do chryptorchids. The operation will run $1000 or more. If you would be interested in making a donation towards his castration, please email me and I will check with millbrook to see if they will start a fund there for us, for Tom. Thanks! JUNE 19 UPDATE: The other testicle has dropped and the vet has now gelded him, both testicles have been successfully removed! So he is officially now a gelding, yay!!
