Tango

Barn Name: Tango
Breed: SSH (Spotted Saddle Horse)
Height: Approx 15.2hh
Age: Approx 10 y/o
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Tobiano

Health: Good. No Known Health Issues.
Lameness: Currently Stiff in Rear Hock When Walking Down Hill; Vet Suspects Bone Spavin, Tight and Stiff; Needs Time on Flat Ground to Get Stronger

Most Recent Vaccinations: 23 June 2016
Most Recent Deworming: 26 July 2016
Most Recent Teeth Floating: 23 June 2016
Most Recent Farrier: Aug 31, 2016

Vices: None That We Know Of
Personality: Sweet, Loving, Very Friendly, Can Be a Forward Moving Horse But is Safe, He Likes to Ride

History/Training: Unknown. Purchased him and was told that the first owner had him for 4 years, rode him, she had children and left him alone for 4 years. She kept him for 2 mths when we found him for sale. We had him vet checked and purchased him in May 2015. We did OXC obstacles, parades, long endurance rides, rode alone, in groups, galloping etc. Since May he was nervous under saddle. We were unsure why. It was very much unlike his strong, confident self when we got him. The vet noticed he was stiff in his rear right hock when Tango was walking downhill. The vet feels he would need strengthening on flat ground, not ring work and not going down hills.

Future/Suitability: currently for flat ground only, not ring work, he needs to build up strength in his hock so he can do other pleasure riding. He would make a good therapeutic horse or a rideable pleasure horse for someone that can strengthen him on flat ground; no jumping. He loves people, is calm and has a gentle disposition.

Additional Info: ALL OF THE INFORMATION ABOVE WAS PROVIDED TO US BY TANGO'S MOST RECENT OWNER

Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: Accepting Offers

We would also gratefully accept volunteer chiropractors, massage therapists, vets, dentists, farriers, etc. Please Email us if you are interested in helping out in some way! Thanks!

We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We accept email money transfers or cash. We know we will never recoup what we will invest into Tango, so we understand we will be taking a loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for him, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Tango needs and deserves a good permanent loving home.

Current Status: Located at HCW in Cameron, ON. Available for Adoption/Sale or Fostering/Lease (Until Adopted). If you have any questions about Tango and/or would like to make arrangements to see him, please email Claire at HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca

SPONSORS NEEDED!!!: If you would like to help Tango, but are not able to Adopt or Foster him at this time perhaps you would be interested in Sponsoring him by helping to cover the costs of (or a portion of) his daily care - such as his Hay, Feed, Supplements, Treats, Farrier, Vaccinations, Teeth Floating, Deworming, Blue Salt Block, Treats, Halter, Winter Turnout Blankets, Spring Turnout Sheet, Brushes, Halter, Lead Rope, Fly Mask, Fly Spray, etc. If you would like to help in any way, please email Claire at HCW for details. Thanks! HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca

If You Would Like a Trailering Quote Please Call Josh at 905-242-7229 or Email at: horsepowertransport@hotmail.com Please Supply Him With Your City/Town Name and Postal Code, So That He Can Give You An Accurate Quote.
