![]() SallyBarn Name: Sally Show Name: Energizer Bunny Breed: Pony (Possibly Welsh/TB?) Height: 14.2hh Petite Build Age: 6 y/o Gender: Mare Colour: Liver Chestnut Health: Excellent Lameness: None - Sound Vices: Mild Cribber (mainly when locked in a stall) - She doesn't crib with the miracle collar on! Personality: Friendly. Easy to Lead, Groom, Tie, Bath, Trailer, Farrier, etc. Great with Other Horses, Ponies and Donkeys! History/Training: Slaughterbound with her Unborn Foal. Rescued by HCW in Feb 2009. The rest of her previous history is unknown. Sally was barely halter broke at the time. She had her foal at HCW and he was adopted out in July 2009. Sally is now well handled. She ground drives nicely so she may make a nice pleasure driving pony. She loves to jump! She is also very athletic, energetic and would likely make a great endurance pony!! Started Under Saddle in October 2011. Although she has never bucked, reared or bolted Sally has lots of energy and is still green so not yet suitable for a beginner rider. She is currently being ridden by a 12 yr old intermediate rider doing w/t/c and jumping. Sally loves hacking/trail riding! Future/Suitability: With further training she should be suitable for pretty much anything ... show or pleasure, english or western, driving, pony club, etc. We think she would make be excellent for endurance, jumper or eventing! Great for natural horsemanship. She has a petite frame so would be suited best to a rider under 125lbs. Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: Adopted! Donations are Welcome ..... $$, Hay, Feed, Supplements, Feed Store Gift Cards, or Donations of Saddles, Tack, Riding Apparel or Blankets in Good Usable/Sellable Condition. We would also gratefully accept volunteer chiropractors, massage therapists, vets, dentists, farriers, etc. Please Email us if you are interested in helping out in some way! Thanks! Please email me if you are interested in adopting Sally! We accept email money transfers or cash. We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We have well over $6500 invested into Sally during her stay here, with her purchase price, trailering, hay, feed, supplements, deworming, vet, farrier, training, etc so we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, so please feel free to make an offer. All offers will be considered. We cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Sally needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. She has been patiently waiting at HCW since Feb 2009. Sadly no one has inquired about adopting her during her time with us. Current Status: As of Sept 8, 2012 Sally is now located at a Foster Home in Caledon, ON. Available for Adoption/Sale. We would also consider a paid show lease. If you have any questions about Sally and/or would like to make arrangements to see her, please email Claire at HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca SPONSORS NEEDED!!!: If you would like to help Sally, but are not able to Adopt or Foster her at this time perhaps you would be interested in Sponsoring her by helping to cover the costs of (or a portion of) her daily care - such as her Hay, Pellets, Vet, Vaccinations, Teeth Floating, Farrier, Ivermectin De-Wormer, Tapeworm De-Wormer, Blue Salt Block, Treats, Halter, Fall Turnout Sheet, Winter Turnout Blanket, Fly Mask, Fly Spray, Brushes, Lead Rope, etc. If you would like to help in any way, please email Claire at HCW for details.
