Personality: Friendly. Easy to catch, lead, groom, tie, trim, trailer, etc. Good with other geldings if no mares are around. Will pace the fence if mares are in next paddock. Reach is currently turned out with a group of geldings.
History/Training: Breeding. Strong Colour Producer! May be broke to ride or drive. Doesn't mind someone sitting on his back. I will do some research and let you know what I find out! So far all I have found out is that he was born in Florida, sold to ON, then sold to BC, then to AB, then back to ON again. He has had 6 homes in the past 10 years. So he likely has colourful babies all over Canada! Hopefully we can find him a permanent home this time!!
Future/Suitability: Pleasure Driving, Breeding, Companion, Pet - Anyone (18yrs or older) interested in showing this guy for us this year to help him find a home? Anyone have a pony cart and harness that would be willing to come and see if he is broke to drive?
HELP NEEDED: ANYONE INTERESTED IN PITCHING IN A FEW $$ TO HELP GET THIS GUY GELDED?? MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE INQUIRED ABOUT HIM JUST WANT TO BREED HIM FOR A SEASON AND THEN SELL HIM ON AGAIN. I THINK THIS GUY HAS BEEN SHUFFLED AROUND ENOUGH. WE WOULD LIKE TO GET HIM GELDED ASAP SO THAT HE CAN FIND A PERMANENT LOVING HIM AS A COMPANION PONY OR PERHAPS A DRIVING PONY FOR A SMALL CART. WE HAVE RAISED $30.00 SO FAR AND NEED ANOTHER $270.00 TO GET THE JOB DONE. WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE HIM GELDED THIS MONTH SO THAT HE CAN START OFF MARCH 1ST AS A GELDING!! We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We accept email money transfers or cash. We have invested alot into Reach during his time here at HCW so we know we will never recoup what we have put into this stallion, so we understand we will be taking a loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for him, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Reach needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. He has been patiently waiting since June 2011. Sadly during his time with us no one has yet to come out to visit/adopt him.
