Health: Excellent. Very Healthy to Our Knowledge.
Lameness: None. Great for the Farrier. Very Sound to Our Knowledge. Goes Barefoot.
Vices: Very Herd Bound
Personality: Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Tie, Tack Up, Trailer, etc. When she is groomed/tacked/ridden with her pasture friend(s) she is an absolute doll, very laid back and quiet, but if you try to take her friend(s) out of site she gets quite upset and anxious, she needs to see her friend(s) at all times. High End in the Pecking Order.
History/Training: Hunt Horse, W/T/C, Jumps
Future/Suitability: Hacking/Trails, Hunting, Backyard Pleasure Riding. She is a Gorgeous Mover and Stunning to Look at But Because of Her Herd Bound Issues Its Doubtful She Would Make a Suitable Show Horse.
Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: $1350 (or $1130 + Donation to HCW). The Donations can be $$, Hay, Feed, Supplements, Feed Store Gift Cards, Saddles, English Tack, Western Tack, Riding Apparel, Blankets, etc (in good usable/sellable condition).

We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We accept email money transfers or cash. We know we will never recoup what we will invest into Portia, so we understand we will be taking a loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Portia needs and deserves a good permanent loving home.
