Height: 11.2hh
Age: 10 yrs
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Donkey Grey
Health: Excellent, yearly Rabies and Tetanus vaccines, wormed every three months with Ivermection. Extremely prone to weight gain therefore round bales not recommended as he just doesn't stop eating.
Lameness: Never Lame, excellent hooves, trimmed every 3 months.
Vices: Can cow kick or be pushy when upset or separated from his herd mates, can be rough with sheep but extremely protective of them nonetheless.
Personality: Friendly and loves people, desperate for human attention, cries to be groomed when he sees others being groomed. Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Trailer, etc. Good with other horses, ponies & donkeys.
History/Training: Unknown, Halter Broke, very respectful of electrobraid fencing
Future/Suitability: Companion, Pet, would make excellent Guard Donkey for horses and ponies, once he bonds with them, he will put his life on the line defending them. Pedro has given 'pony rides' to young children very happily in his last home.
Additional Info: Pedro has been in an adoptive home for nearly 3 years but he has become so obsessed with their paint mare that she has been unable to work with or ride her mare safely. Therefore he would be best in a home with just geldings, or perhaps a home with no horses, just another donkey as a friend.
Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: $500. Pre-Summer Sale - If You Adopt Pedro (Upon Approval of Application), Pay for Him in Full and Take Him Home On/Before May 25, 2008 - We Will Reduce His Adoption Fee Down to $300 !!
