MonetBarn Name: Monet Breed: Saddlebred (American Saddlebred Horse Association, Inc.) Reg'd Name: Paint a Pretty Picture Reg#: 120774 DOB: May 25, 1989 Sire: Santana's Musical Chime #78653 Dam: Monet #102814 Height: 15.2hh Age: 21 y/o Gender: Mare Colour: Chestnut Health: No Health Issues Known Lameness: No Lameness Issues Known Vices: None Personality: Friendly. Easy to catch, lead, groom, tie, trim, trailer, etc. Currently turned out with a herd of horses, ponies & donkeys, all mares. Doesn't like ramp load trailers or deworming. Monet does have separation anxiety when taken away from her buddies. So you either need to take the time and patience and teach her to get over her issues, or you need to always bring her buddy in to keep her company while you are grooming her or riding her, etc . History/Training: Dressage, Showing, Broodmare. She had not been ridden in 6 years prior to coming to HCW as her owner was away at university, but we rode her the other day here and she was perfect! MARCH UPDATE: My volunteers have been riding Monet once a week at a walk and trot, and she has been excellent everytime. We may take her over to the local arena to try out her canter (still too slippery here at home to try a canter). She has been getting MUCH better with her separation issues. Future/Suitability: Show or Pleasure Additional Info: Monet's previous owners just mailed me her registration papers but they are only a photocopy, sorry. If you are interested in adopting Monet and if you wish to transfer registration papers into your name all work/costs involved will be your responsibility. Monet can be turned out 24/7 or in a stall at night, she is not fussy. But she does need a blankie in the winter if she is out 24/7. She is currently on free choice hay 24/7, as well as senior pellets, vit/min supplement, and glucosamine/msm supplement twice a day. Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: Was: $1500 - Now: $750 To take advantage of this $750 sale price you must have your application approved, pay for Monet in full and have her picked up (or delivered at your expense) on or before April 18, 2010. We accept email money transfers or cash. We no longer accept cheques due to all the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Monet needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. She has been patiently waiting since Dec '09 and not one potential new home has come to see her yet during this time. Current Status: Located at HCW in Cameron, ON - Available for Adoption/Sale or Fostering/Free Lease (Until Adopted). If you have any questions about Monet and/or would like to make arrangements to see her, please email Claire at HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca SPONSORS NEEDED!!!: If you would like to help Monet, but are not able to Adopt or Foster her at this time perhaps you would be interested in Sponsoring her by helping to cover the costs of (or a portion of) her daily care - such as her Hay, Purina Senior Feed, Vet, Vaccinations, Farrier, Ivermectin De-Wormer, Tapeworm Dewormer, Over the Fence Feeder, Blue Salt Block, Treats, Halter, Winter Turnout Blanket, Spring Turnout Sheet, Fly Mask, Fly Spray, Brushes, Lead Rope, etc. If you would like to help in any way, please email Claire at HCW for details.
