MollyBarn Name: Molly Breed: Pony ( Hackney ?) Height: 13hh Age: 11 y/o Gender: Mare Colour: Dark Bay Health: Excellent Lameness: None Vices: Cribber Personality: Friendly. Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Tie, Trailer, Farrier, etc. Good with Other Horses, Ponies & Donkeys. History/Training: Unknown, Purchased From an Auction in Foal, Slaughter Bound, Apparently she was used for riding, driving & broodmare - we did try her out under saddle when she first arrived and she did seem to have been ridden before, but I would say she is green broke. We don't have a harness to try her out with a cart to see if she is indeed broke to drive or not. SEPT 4, 2009 UPDATE: Molly had a beautiful colt last night, named Moxie. The little cutie has 3 white socks and a blaze. FEB 2010 UPDATE: We tried ground driving Molly with a harness and she defintely appears to have been driven before. She knows her commands well. We hope to start riding Molly this weekend! MARCH UPDATE: Molly is doing VERY WELL under saddle at the walk and trot with her little riders. We hope to try out her canter this week now that the walk and trot is down pat. MARCH 14 UPDATE: Today we took Molly over to the local arena and she was excellent, so excellent that we decided to leave her there for Avery (11 yrs old) to ride during March break. If you are interested in seeing Molly this would be a good week to see her, while she is there. Future/Suitability: Riding or Driving, Show or Pleasure, English or Western Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: Currently accepting offers. So in short, Molly will be adopted to the best suited home, with the best approved application and the best offer!! We accept email money transfers or cash. We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We have at least $2000+ invested into Molly with her purchase price, trailering, hay, feed, supplements, deworming, farrier, training, etc. We will never recoup what we have into Molly we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Molly needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. Molly has been patiently waiting since Feb '09 and not one potential new home has come to see her during this time. Current Status: Located at HCW in Cameron, ON - Available for Adoption/Sale or Fostering/Free Lease (Until Adopted). If you have any questions about Molly and/or would like to make arrangements to see her, please email Claire at HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca SPONSORS NEEDED!!!: If you would like to help Molly but are not able to Adopt or Foster her at this time perhaps you would be interested in Sponsoring her by helping to cover the costs of (or a portion of) her daily care - such as her Hay, Vet, Farrier, Ivermectin De-Wormer, Tapeworm De-Wormer, Blue Salt Block, Treats, Halter, Spring Turnout Sheet, Winter Turnout Blanket, Fly Mask, Fly Spray, Brushes, Lead Rope, etc. If you would like to help in any way, please email Claire at HCW for details.
