Health: Heaves , Excellent Otherwise

Vices: None
Personality: Friendly. Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Tie, Trim, Trailer, etc. She is also smart, talented, quick learner, slightly skittish in new situations but quickly/easily adjustable. Currently turned out with a group of mares (horses, ponies, donkeys)
History/Training: Trained in basic flatwork (w/t/c in a frame, leg yield, shoulder in, etc.) Jumping up to 3ft course. Has schooled x-country up to Entry level., shown pre-entry level. Excellent well trained horse for someone who doesn't mind giving her a little extra TLC and taking care of her needs ! Prefers not to be ridden alone.
Future/Suitability: Hacking/Trails, Pleasure, Light Riding, Light Showing - She could continue on as a show horse if she is kept on prednisoline or something similiar. Anyone interested in showing Mattie for us this year to help increase her chances on finding a home? She could do Hunter, Jumper or Dressage.
Additional Info: Does best if kept outside with access to a shelter, so she will have lots of fresh air. Does well on pasture in the summer. Needs a Waterproof turnout blanket for the cold months. Needs more than just hay to keep her weight on (ie. pellets, pasture, supplement for her heaves, etc). Does better on square bales than round bales, less dust.
Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: $1130 + Donations (Donations Can be Hay, Feed, Saddles, Tack, Riding Apparel or Blankets, etc in Good Sellable/Usable Condition) or Donation to our Vet Account.
We accept email money transfers or cash. $130 HST Included in Price. We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We have at least $1800+ invested into Mattie with her hay, feed, supplements, deworming, farrier, etc. We will never recoup what we have into Mattie so we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Mattie needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. She has been patiently waiting since July '10.
