Personality: Friendly. Easy to catch, lead, groom, trailer, farrier, etc. Currently turned out with a group of geldings (of various ages and sizes) and he gets along well with all of them. Gryphon was gelded late so he shouldn't be turned out with mares or in a mixed group.
History/Training: Rescued from Kitchener Auction 4 Yrs Ago as a Stallion. Gelded Immediately. Prior to that History is Unknown. Started Under Saddle Last Year but was bucking so no further work under saddle was done with him. We are adopting him out as not broke. He will need to be re-started slowly and gently from scratch.
Future/Suitability: Companion/Pet, With Good Slow Proper Training he Will Hopefully Make a Nice Riding Pony or Cart/Driving Pony! Excellent Natural Horsemanship Project.

The donation can be $$, tack, riding apparel, hay, feed, etc. We have alot invested into Gryphon so please know we are not making a profit on him and appreciate any extra donation you have to offer!
We accept donations year round. Donations can be $$, Hay, Feed, Supplements, Feed Store Gift Cards, Saddles, Tack, Riding, Apparel, Blankets (in good usable/sellable condition). We would also gratefully accept volunteer chiropractors, massage therapists, vets, dentists, farriers, etc. Please Email us if you are interested in helping out in some way! Thanks!
We accept cash or email money transfers. We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We already know that we will never recoup what we will put into Gryphon so we understand we will be taking a loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for him, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Gryphon needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. He has been patiently waiting since June 2012.
