Ginger

Barn Name: Ginger

Breed: Haflinger Cross
Height: Stout 12.3hh
Age: 6 y/o
Gender: Mare
Colour: Chestnut with Salt/Pepper Mane & Tail

Health: Heavey in Spring, Excellent Otherwise

Lameness: None - Sound

Vices: She can be nasty to other horses so we never allow kids to be on the ground in between Ginger and the other horses, just incase. She also has separation anxiety but she is getting better.

Personality: Friendly, Easy to Catch, Lead, Tie, Groom, Trim, Trailer, etc. Currently turned out with other horses, ponies and donkeys, all mares. Definitely a boss mare.

History/Training: Unknown, Purchased from an Auction, Broke to Ride, Good on Trails. UPDATE: Ginger's foster home has been using her for lessons and summer camp, she is doing great, they are doing leadline, walk/trot/canter and jumps with her. She is lazy and you have to really push to get her into a canter, but she is getting better. She is great on the trails and she is doing much better on the roads now too!

Future/Suitability: Best suited as a leadline or trail pony but with further training she could do so much more!!

Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: $500

We accept email money transfers or cash. We no longer accept cheques due to all the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We have at least $1500+ invested into Ginger with her purchase price, trailering, hay, supplements, deworming, farrier, etc. We will never recoup what we have into Ginger so we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Ginger needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. She has been patiently waiting since Nov '09.

Current Status: Located at an adoptive home in Mount Albert, ON - Available for Adoption/Sale. If you have any questions about Ginger and/or would like to make arrangements to see her, please email Claire at HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca

SPONSORS NEEDED!!!: If you would like to help Ginger, but are not able to Adopt or Foster her at this time perhaps you would be interested in Sponsoring her by helping to cover the costs of (or a portion of) her daily care - such as her Hay, Vaccinations, Farrier, Ivermectin De-Wormer, Tapeworm Dewormer, Blue Salt Block, Treats, Halter, Winter Turnout Blanket, Spring Turnout Sheet, Fly Mask, Fly Spray, Brushes, Lead Rope, etc. If you would like to help in any way, please email Claire at HCW for details. HCWEquineRescue@sympatico.ca Thanks!!

If You Would Like a Trailering Quote Please Call Josh at 905-242-7229 or Email at: horsepowertransport@hotmail.com Please Supply Him With Your City/Town Name and Postal Code, So That He Can Give You An Accurate Quote.

If you recognize this pony and know anything about her history we would love to hear from you! We named her Ginger when she arrived at HCW so she may have been known by a different name previously. The more we know about Ginger the easier it will be for us to place her in the best suited home! Thanks!
