Health: No Known Health Issues. Dewormed April 12. Rabies/Tetanus Vaccs/Teeth Checked April 23. Dewormed July 17.
Lameness: No Known Soundness Issues. Feet Trimmed April 19 and July 8.
Vices: None Known
Personality: Friendly. Easy to catch, lead, groom, tie, farrier, vet, trailer, etc. Good with other horses. Currently out with a group of mares.
History/Training: Unknown. We Picked Her Up From a Feedlot, She Only had a Few Days Left Before Being Shipped for Slaughter.
Future/Suitability: Green Broke. Best Suited for Trail Riding, English or Western. Gorgeous Mover. With a bit of work and vet options she should be able to do some ring work, shows, etc. She appears to be sound to the eye but she can be very bratty for mounting and hates ring work (she prefers to trail ride) so there may be something there bothering her that is aggravated by the ring work (arthritis perhaps) which may or may not improve with a joint supplement or other options through the vet. So we are adopting her out as a companion/broodmare/trail horse for an experienced rider. She is a young beautiful horse and a beautiful mover so if you want to put the time and money into her to try and get her into the show ring you are welcome to do but there are no guarantees.

We accept donations year round. The Donations can be $$, Hay, Feed, Supplements, Feed Store Gift Cards, Saddles, Tack, Riding, Apparel, Blankets (in good usable/sellable condition). We would also gratefully accept volunteer chiropractors, massage therapists, vets, dentists, farriers, etc. Please Email us if you are interested in helping out in some way! Thanks!
We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We accept email money transfers or cash. We have over $1800 invested into Dutchess, so we know we will never recoup what we have invested into Dutchess, with her purchase price, trailering, hay, feed, supplements, deworming, vet, chiropractor, farrier, etc so we understand we will be taking a loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Dutchess needs and deserves a good permanent loving home.
