Personality: Does play hard to catch sometimes, but likes the attention & grooming once you catch him. Good with other horses, ponies and donkeys. Good for the blacksmith, trailering, etc.
History/Training: Harness Racing (Trotter) with a Mark of 2:03. 91 Starts, 9 Firsts, 13 Seconds, 10 Thirds. Last Race Oct 2004. Deacon Has Just Been a Pet to an Elderly Couple Since He Finished Racing. UPDATE: Deacon was ridden for the first time on May 1st 2008 and we think he did great. He did get a bit excited and he kept slapping his lips the whole time. He did start to pace (which i have not yet seem him do, usually he just trots and canters normally while in the field). But he did not do anything naughty. I think with a bit of work he would make a great horse for pleasure riding or pleasure driving.
