Height: 12hh (will measure)
Age: 16 y/o
Gender: Mare
Colour: Cremello
Health: Overweight, appears healthy otherwise.
Lameness: Has foundered in the past, need to monitor her grass/hay intake carefully - she appears to currently be sound in her feet but there is something not right with her rear end, i think something to do with her hips. I am going to have a massage therapist out and a chiropractor and see if we can determine why she is stiff/sore in her hip area, and hopefully help make her more comfortable.
Vices: None
Personality: Friendly. Easy to catch, lead, groom, tie, farrier, trailer, etc. Good with other horses, low end of the pecking order
History/Training: Has been with the same family for the past 12 years (their kids rode her western for the first 7 yrs, but she has not been ridden in the past 5 years). Loves attention.
Future/Suitability: Leadline, Companion, Pet - Perhaps more depending on how things go with the chiropractic/massage sessions

To take advantage of this $500 sale price you must have your application approved, pay for Cara in full and have her picked up (or delivered at your expense) on or before Sept 22, 2010. We accept email money transfers or cash. We no longer accept cheques due to all of the NSF cheques we have received in the past. We have at least $600+ invested into Cara with her hay, supplements, deworming, farrier, chiropractor, etc. We will never recoup what we have into Cara so we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for her, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. Cara needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. She has been patiently waiting since May '10.
