Breed: Quarter Horse
Height: approx 15hh (will measure)
Age: 20-25 y/o
Gender: Gelding
Colour: Chestnut with Flaxen Mane & Tail
Health: Underweight, Needs more than just hay (senior feed, glucosamine, etc) lump in throat will have vet check it out next time she is here UPDATE: after many visits, and some lab testing it has been determined that the lump in his throat is a thyroid gland tumor and it is benign, the tumor is small but the blood swelling around it is what makes it large in size
Lameness: Weak/Dropped Hind Pasterns
Vices: None
Personality: Friendly. Easy to Catch, Lead, Groom, Tie, Bath, Trim, Trailer, etc. Good with other horses, ponies and donkeys.
History/Training: Therapy Horse, Trail Horse, Western, Beginners Have Ridden Him - TJ has not been ridden in 3 years since trail riding place closed down
Future/Suitability: Companion/Pet, the only riding he could do is leading a small child around at a walk
** Adoption Fee/Purchase Price: MAKE AN OFFER ** All offers will be considered, but not necessarily accepted! We will never recoup what we have into TJ, with his trailering, vet, tests, hay, feed, supplements, farrier, deworming, etc, so we understand we will be taking a huge loss, and we are used to that, but we do need to get something for him, even just a small adoption fee or donation, as we cannot help more horses, ponies and donkeys until we find good homes for the ones that are here. The adoption fees are very important in keeping HCW running. TJ needs and deserves a good permanent loving home. He has been patiently waiting for the right home since June '09.
